How to Measure Your Foot
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1.Place a piece of paper on a hard floor against a wall
- 2.Stand on the paper with your heel against the wall
- 3.Mark the longest part of your foot on the paper
- 4.Measure the distance from the wall to the mark in centimeters
- 5.Repeat for both feet and use the larger measurement
Measurement Tips
- • Measure in the afternoon when feet are slightly larger
- • Wear thin athletic socks while measuring
- • Stand with your full weight on the foot being measured
- • Measure both feet - they may differ slightly
- • Use centimeters for the most accurate sizing
Pro Tip: For the most accurate fit, use your foot length in centimeters from our size chart below. This is more reliable than converting from your regular shoe size.

Sizing Tips & Recommendations
Weightlifting Shoe Fit Philosophy
Weightlifting shoes should fit snugger than regular sneakers. Your foot should feel secure with minimal movement inside the shoe. This ensures maximum stability and power transfer during lifts. Unlike running shoes, there's no need for extra toe room.
When to Size Up
- • You're between sizes (e.g., 25.5cm falls between two sizes)
- • You have wider feet or a high instep
- • You prefer wearing thicker socks
- • Your foot measurement is at the very top of a size range
When to Size Down
- • You have narrow feet
- • Your foot measurement is at the very bottom of a size range
- • You prefer a very snug, locked-in fit
Additional Considerations
- • Sock thickness: We recommend thin to medium athletic socks
- • Break-in period: Minimal - shoes should feel comfortable from day one
- • Toe room: Your toes should lightly touch the front when standing
- • Heel lock: Your heel should not slip when lifting
Brand Comparison Guide
Transitioning from another brand? Here's how Foost sizing compares to popular weightlifting shoes:
Foost vs Nike Romaleos 4
Fit Difference: Nike Romaleos 4 tend to run small with a narrow toe box. Most users size up half a size from their normal shoe size.
Foost Recommendation: Foost shoes are true to size based on foot length. If you wear Romaleos and sized up half a size, you may want to go with your actual measured foot length for Foost.
Example: If you wear US 10.5 in Romaleos but your foot measures 27.5cm, order Foost based on the 27.5cm measurement.
Foost vs Adidas Adipower 3
Fit Difference: Adidas Adipower 3 are generally true to size but have a narrow toe box, similar to Romaleos.
Foost Recommendation: If you're comfortable in Adipower at your current size, the same size should work well in Foost. Both brands offer a similar fit profile.
Example: If you wear EU 42 in Adipower and it fits well, order EU 42 in Foost.
